Many a child has been known to wait all year to come back to Gan Israel! From Kiddie Camp to our older division, campers enjoy a wide range of exciting activities and field trips in a warm and vivacious atmosphere.
Our fast growing Kiddie Camp offers a wonderful opportunity for youngsters 18 months — 4 years to have their first experience in a real summer camp. The children are guided in organized activity, play, & social skills by loving, patient, and caring staff who serve all year-round as preschool teachers. Our kiddies are growing fast and this is the place to be!
Our beautiful camp facility, serving the boys and girls divisions, hosts a full program of sports, games, crafts, dramatics, swimming in our on-site pool, and other enriching camp activities. Our experienced staffers work to develop skills, confidence and a sense of fair play within each child.

Gan Israel is much more than a physical break from the school routine and winter activities. It’s a comprehensive program designed to strengthen the body and soul. It provides your child with a rich and wholesome summer vacation of fun and excitement along with friendship and meaningful educational experiences.
Child development is the most significant ingredient in a healthy camp experience. This is why we pride ourselves on our exceptional staff at Gan Israel who are the real secret to our success. Our experienced counselors who come with prior camp experience and a desire to work with kids are known for their personal warmth and ability to care for each child as an individual. Many staff members return year after year, lending experience and continuity to all programs. Each counselor is a role model for our children, promising them friendship which will last forever! Their love for the children is surpassed only by the children’s love for them.
Our Camp Director has many years of day camp experience. He is the leader of our top staff and takes great pride in our on-going, comprehensive staff training program. His extensive experience with preschoolers through teenagers makes him a valuable friend and administrator to our camp throughout the summer.

Our campsite, located at the enlarged Chabad Lubavitch Center Campus is uniquely suited for a great camp experience. The spacious indoor and outdoor facilities enables us to provide campers with summer fun, whatever the weather outside. Our fabulous pool is enjoyed by all of our campers. A specially designed preschool playground, sports at a nearby air
conditioned facility and canoeing, add to the Camp Gan Israel summer experience.
Camp Gan Israel has an on-site outdoor swimming pool, monitored by trained and licensed aquatics professionals.
The camp is located at 10900 Fondren, in the heart of Houston, Texas.
Culture
Gan Israel campers are imbued with a deep sense of pride in their Jewish heritage and a love for the land of Israel. Weekly Judaic themes are taught through exciting activities, stories, songs, games, and contests, which are part of the unique Gan Israel experience. Combined with group discussions and educational programs, these events bring to life the beauty and values of our tradition.
Sports & Athletics
At Gan Israel, campers participate in various sports activities, receive expert coaching, and enjoy a wide array of recreational activities. Our sports coaches are professional physical education instructors who teach with patience, guidance, and encouragement. Individual and group training will allow each camper to end the summer as a better athlete. Our focus on good sportsmanship and self confidence makes everyone a winner!
Activities & Special Events
Our weekly program is enhanced with choirs, Olympic type games, police and fire demonstrations, drama, ballet, carnivals, dress-up days, overnights, aquatics, color war, hiking, bunk competition, Shabbos parties, Challah baking, and .. oh... so much more. Under the direction of our experienced crafts director, campers will have the opportunity to design and take home some wonderful Judaica projects.
Trips On The Go
Gan Israel’s “Trip Days”, which are well known, are geared to the children’s interests, are scheduled a few times a week and feature excursions to many local attractions.
